Restored in 2007 and located at 100 East Main Street, the Strand Theatre Hohenwald features live music, plays and more throughout the year. The original structure was built in 1939 and is listed as an official city landmark in Hohenwald, Tennessee.
Live productions featuring local talent keep audiences coming back for more. Each year, the Strand Theatre Hohenwald welcomes musical guests including Music City Swing, members of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, a traveling Nashville Children’s Opera and a variety of musicians with shows that bring the audience to their feet.
Summer camps teach our youngest music, drama and art culminating in sell out shows for parents, family, friends and supporters of the arts in Hohenwald.
Artwork at the Strand Art Gallery includes work by members of the Meriwether Lewis Artist Group and guest artists. Local, regional and national artists display artwork in the Strand Art Gallery.
On any given day, visitors may find handmade quilts, pottery, jewelry, watercolor and oil paintings, photography and other forms of visual arts.
The Strand Theatre Hohenwald and Strand Art Gallery, located at 100 E. Main St., in Hohenwald, are projects of the Hohenwald Arts Council, a 501 (c)(3) organization.
