RIDGELAND, MS – The Natchez Trace Parkway and the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi invite visitors to view travel posters created by graphic design students at Mississippi State University in celebration of the National Park Service Centennial.
The students were challenged to create designs that promote the beauty and variety offered by the Natchez Trace Parkway. The original prints are on display through November 30, 2016, in the George Berry Gallery at the Mississippi Craft Center located at 950 Rice Road in Ridgeland, Mississippi (Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm). Visitors can also view digital copies of the posters at the Parkway Information Cabin (Fridays and Saturdays 9:00 am to 4:00 pm) and on the Parkway’s Facebook page throughout December.
The public is encouraged to vote for their favorite design at the Mississippi Craft Center, Parkway Information Cabin, or via Facebook to help determine the winning entry.
The Parkway Information Cabin is located at milepost 102.4 on the Natchez Trace Parkway, located approximately one-mile north of I-55 exit 105A, or just east of the intersection of Rice Road and Highway 51. For additional information, visit www.nps.gov/natr
