TUPELO, MS – Do you like to dig in the dirt, figure out stories from clues, or learn about the past? These are all things archeologists do—maybe you are one too! All Park resources are protected by law, and Parkway staff work closely with professional archeologists to monitor and protect cultural sites.
The Natchez Trace Parkway invites children and their families to “Digging History,” a Junior Ranger program to be held at the Parkway Visitor Center onSaturday, August 5, 2017, at 10:00 am. Join a park ranger for this 45-minute hands-on program to learn about the important role archaeology plays in telling the story of the Parkway. This program is ideal for children seven to 12 years old but everyone is welcome.
