JACKSON, MS – The National Park Service (NPS), Natchez Trace Parkway, announces a 35- mph speed zone on a two-mile section south of Interstate 20 in Hinds County, Mississippi. The NPS is working with the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, United States Geological Survey, Millsaps College, and Mississippi College monitoring amphibian species. The speed zone will be in effect from November 2012 through April 2013, and will improve safety for the researchers. Go towww.nps.gov/natr for more information.
