Pioneer Day at the Natchez Trace Parkway Visitor Center
The Tombigbee Pioneer Group will demonstrate pioneer era crafts and skills at the Parkway Visitor Center, from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm on February 25, 2017. The demonstrations will show the challenges faced and creative solutions developed by those Americans who lived in the area from the 1700s to around 1840.

Mississippi Lignite Mining Company Donates Funds for Trails on the Natchez Trace Parkway
The Mississippi Lignite Mining Company (MLMC), which manages Red Hills Mine, recently donated $50,000 to the Parkway to rehabilitate trails in the area. The Red Hills Mine operates east of the Natchez Trace Parkway (Parkway) near the Little Mountain overlook at the Jeff Busby campground.

The Natchez Trace Parkway Announces Revised Winter Hours for Mount Locust Inn and Plantation
Beginning Tuesday, January 24, 2017, the Mount Locust Inn and Plantation site along the Natchez Trace Parkway will be open six days a week. Hours of operation will be Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, and closed on Monday.
