National Park Service Units Create $447 Million in Economic Benefits for the State of Mississippi
A new National Park Service (NPS) report shows that 7,034,487 visitors to Mississippi’s National Park Service units in 2017 spent $192 million in local communities. That spending supported 2620 jobs in the state and had a cumulative benefit to the local economies of $207 million.
Increased Bicycling Activity
The Natchez Trace Parkway will be hosting a special event on Saturday, May 5 starting at 7 a.m. Approximately 900 bicyclists will ride in both directions along the Parkway from the Ridgeland Information Cabin.
