The Natchez Trace Parkway invites children and their families to “Trees Have Families, Too” a new Junior Ranger program to be held at the Parkway Visitor Center at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 3, 2016.

TUPELO, MS:  The Natchez Trace Parkway invites children and their families to “Trees Have Families, Too” a new Junior Ranger program to be held at the Parkway Visitor Center at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 3, 2016.

Join a park ranger for this 45-minute program and play leaf bingo to learn how to recognize tree families such as oak and maple by the shapes of their leaves. Participants will also find out how people and animals depend on the trees that live along the Natchez Trace Parkway. This free hands-on program is ideal for children seven to 12 years old, but everyone is welcome.
