Natchez Trace Parkway Named One of America’s 25 Most Beautiful Scenic Byways
After all, it’s about the journey, not the destination…
The Natchez Trace Parkway is a beautiful 444-mile drive from Natchez, Mississippi to Nashville, Tennessee. The historic route has seen 10,000 years of North American history and commemorates the most significant highway of the Old Southwest. Visitors come from all over the country to experience this unique journey and explore the Parkway’s natural, historic wonders.
The Natchez Trace crosses four ecosystems and eight major watersheds, and provides habitat for nearly 1,500 species of plants, 33 mammal species, 134 bird species, and 70 species of reptiles and amphibians. The great outdoors are alive and well, and travelers are encouraged to experience the wildlife and scenic landscapes at a leisurely pace.
Declared as a National Scenic Byway and All-American Road, the Parkway’s picturesque scenery isn’t going unnoticed. Country Living Magazine recently named the Natchez Trace one of America’s Most 25 Beautiful Scenic Byways!
